Validating someone’s contribution to the nation or society is an affirmation of the success of every graduate and the academic institution that has helped them become competent professionals as well as citizens of character.
The Center for Alumni Affairs (CAA) supports the UMak’s mission and vision by continually opening up opportunities that will strengthen the mutually beneficial bond between the university and its alumni. It also oversees the engagements of the alumni organization, specifically the Association of the University of Makati Alumni, Incorporated (AUAI) with the University. And the CAA is under the supervision of the Office of the University Secretary.
Vision
The Center for Alumni Affairs envisions to be the hub of all alumni matters at the University of Makati. It will strive to develop connections among alumni from all parts of the globe to strengthen their commitment to the University, as well as to serve their diverse needs and interest.
Mission
The Center for Alumni Affairs exists to foster goodwill among UMAK alumni in support of the ideals and goals of the University. It provides opportunities for alumni to engage in lifelong involvement with their university community.
Functional Statement
The Center for Alumni Affairs shall:
- Encourage engagements of alumni in academic and non-academic related endeavors of the University of Makati in close coordination with Colleges and Institutes.
- Collaborate with the AUAI (Association of UMak Alumni Incorporated) in its programs and activities for the general welfare of the alumni of the University of Makati.
- Continuously update the CAA social media platform for relevant information beneficial for all alumni.
- Provide support in establishing college-based and international alumni associations.
- Network the alumni for possible employment or better employment.
