Once again, UMak students from the College of Tourism and Hospitality (CTHM) joined the virtual event guided by CTHM Dean Edita Bayona, CTHM Department Chair Loreta Pascual, CTHM College Secretary Cesar Geronimo, CTHM Linkages Coordinator Maria Theresa Icalla, CTHM Nihongo Professor Maria Filameda Horuichi, and College of Education Professor John David Ayson.
UMak’s newly-appointed OIC, University President and concurrent Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Elyxzur Ramos, thanked and lauded the Japanese university partners from Doshisha led by Prof. Suzuka Fujibayashi, from Kwansei Gakuin led by Keima Tsuruhara and Toma Yamanishi, and organizer Takahiro Matsuda from the University Co-Op Business Association for their commitment and enthusiasm in sustaining this unique intercultural exchange program since 2019 even with the extended global pandemic when such an event would have seemed impossible.
Held last August 31, 2021, almost 100 students from the three universities participated in the event spearheaded by the Center for Linkages, Career Development and Placement.
