2022’s Mister and Miss UMak Shines GOLD

The winners of Mr. and Ms. University of Makati 2022 together with all of its candidates during the coronation night last February 28, 2022.

The University Student Council (USC) re-continues its Mr. and Ms. University of Makati (MMU) after two years of hiatus brought by the pandemic. The MMU Gold was aligned at UMak’s 50th Anniversary theme  and has been marked as one of the highlighted events of the year.

The pageantry was not only dedicated to showcase the candidates’ good looks and talents but also made them grew bolder and fiercer by breaking stereotypes shown at their video shoot where male and female candidates revealing their feminine and masculine side through the use of clothing. They also polished their advocacies, ramp walks, and answering questions during their trainings and workshops provided the USC. 

A pressuring yet a momentous event that took a lot of effort and time to pull through, in a message conveyed by the Over-all Production Head, Mr. Alexander Herrera. He also sent his best regards to the newly crowned kings and queens in making their term successful with winnings and tribute to the university. 

Furthermore, he also emphasized the theme on, “Magnifying Beauty with a Purpose” proving to the university that pageant winners have more to them than meets the eye and they also made their goal in accomplishing various activities and initiatives.

They had initiated a donation drive last December 2021, to help the communities affected by the Typhoon Rai and recently MMU also volunteered in the Project Kulayan Natin at the Community of Evangelista, Baras Rizal by donating learning materials and conducting activities for the children. Ms. College of Science, Ms. Maria Lorena Alvarez also planned her outreach program during the Typhoon Paeng. 

Lastly, winning the spot as the 2nd Runner Up; John Kenrich Ignacio and Nicole Santander, 1st Runner Up; Aedrian Balauag and Mira Finez Segundo.
